Kindergarten Graduates!

I cannot believe the last day of kindergarten is here for these sweet kids! I have absolutely loved being their teacher this year, and I am so proud of each and every one of them! I know you are, too. I hope you enjoy some photos of the graduates. 😊

I am going to miss all these sweet kids (including those not in the photos from today!) and your families so very much! Please stay in touch, and have a wonderful summer!

Love,
Mrs. Knowles

Writing WIG

Check out our data from our class Writing WIG (Wildly Important Goal)! We have been working so hard to use a capital letter at the beginning of our sentences and use lowercase letters for all other words/letters (with exceptions of course). Make sure to remind your child about this WIG when he or she is writing over the summer!

Zoo Field Trip

Today was a very fun (and rainy) day at the zoo! Despite the weather, the kids loved it and had so much fun. Several kids told me this was the best day of their lives, so clearly the rain wasn't a problem for them. 😊 Thank you to all the parents who came with us!

We attending a class at the zoo to learn more about habitats. We learned about three different habitats in Africa: the desert, grasslands, and jungle. We also got to meet some live animals and touch real cheetah fur, as well as an ostrich egg. We met a Madagascar Hissing Cockroach, a chinchilla, and a ball python. We also saw a full snake skeleton. Pretty cool!

We had a great time at the zoo!

This week, we had more fun with our ABC Countdown and celebrated F for flashlight day and H for Hawaiian day. The kids loved working in the dark with their flashlights, and Hawaiian day was pretty fun, too! We kept a beach feed from Hawaii on the Smart Board as we worked throughout day.
